Hello, I’m Kisha! I'm a photographer from a small island called Galveston, Texas. Just 30 minutes outside of Houston, Texas. My love for photography began many, many summers ago, at the age of ten, when I first held a camera at a photography camp.
That first photography camp took place in a housing project, where opportunities to explore the arts were scarce. For a kid like me, picking up that camera wasn’t just about learning how to take a picture—it was about discovering a future I never knew I could have. That experience showed me firsthand how vital it is to expose children to possibilities beyond their immediate surroundings. When a child is given a tool to create, to see beauty, and to tell their own story, it can change the entire course of their life. That’s why I believe so deeply in bringing these same opportunities to my community. I’ve done it, and I look forward to doing it again—because every child deserves to know that their perspective matters, and that there’s a whole world of light and magic waiting for them to capture it.
For nearly 17 years now, I’ve pursued that magic. I work almost exclusively with natural light, using it to gently frame genuine laughter, quiet glances, and fleeting in-between moments. My approach is rooted in the candid and the real—because the most beautiful memories are often the ones that happen naturally, when you’re simply being yourself.
To me, photography is so much more than a picture; it’s a lasting whisper of a feeling, a place, or a person. It’s a profound privilege to preserve your most precious moments as tangible memories, allowing you to hold onto them for a lifetime. I can’t wait to help you tell your story.
